Professor Andre Nunes


BJJ rank: 3th Degree Black Belt


Professor André Nunes is GB regional director (Germany) and black belt under professor Diojone Farias (Black belt 5º degree) and both are members of the Gracie Barra Association. Professor André Nunes is the head coach of the 8 GB schools in the following cities: Hamburg and Hannover (Germany); Groningen (Holland); Darnytsia (Kiev/Ukraine); Sevastopol, Tomsk, Novosibirsk (Russia) and Seville (Spain). Professor Andre stared to practice BJJ in 1978 at the Mello Tennis Club/RJ/Brazil with master Sebastião Ricardo (Red Belt 9 degree), which gives him 40 years of experience in BJJ.

Our school Gracie Barra Hamburg are reference on the quality of teaching. GBSevilla affiliated to the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) and they are official Gracie Barra schools (GB). Professor André dedicates his life to the teaching and spreading of BJJ, conducting classes and seminars in different academies in the whole Europe, also in Universities (Hamburg, Groningen and Seville). Furthermore, André did gives self defense courses in Spain's National Police (Sevilla: 2009, 2010 and 2011) and GNR in Portugal (Silves: 2009 and 2010).

Professor André Nunes is 5x IBJJF European Champion (master) has achieved with Gracie Barra Sevilla/Groningen/Hamburg teams a total of 61 medals in the IBJJF European Jiu Jitsu Open Championship (results) between 2008 and 2018. GBSevilla has been best team of Spain in 2009 and 2011. Also in 2009, he has been the second best coach in Europe (novice category).
